You can verify if the database that is enabled for CDC is not by looking at the fixed database role, you can enable CDC for the required table (a capture instance) using the sys.sp_cdc_enable_table system stored procedure. When CDC is enabled for a table, a CDC table (table which keeps track of history of changes along with meta-data about changes) and two table-valued functions are generated along with capture and cleanup jobs for the database if this is the first table in the database to be enabled for CDC.

Read this section if you are new to Access or unfamiliar with the concepts behind relational databases. Microsoft Office Access 2007 provides a number of tools for updating existing records, including datasheets, forms, queries, find-and-replace, and the new Data Collection feature. As you proceed, remember that updating data is not the same process as entering new data.As I expand my SQL Server knowledge, I am interested in learning more about the SQL Server system databases and how I can use them to help me on a daily basis.I am sure their are many recommendations when working with these databases and I am interested in those as well.SQL Server System Databases Since 2002, Jeremy Kadlec has delivered value to the global SQL Server community as an Edgewood Solutions SQL Server Consultant, co-founder and Baltimore SSUG co-leader.

Uncommitted transactions are rolled back in a newly created database snapshot because the Database Engine runs recovery after the snapshot has been created (transactions in the database are not affected).

Right now I have a fairly rudimentary set of knowledge about these databases just based on reviewing those scripts.

As discussed in my last article, you first need to enable CDC at the database level using the sys.sp_cdc_enable_db system procedure, which creates the change data capture objects that have database wide scope, including meta-data tables and required Data Definition Language (DDL) triggers.
